Philosophy

What us – landscape architects at ALPS – unites and makes us a community are the common values we share. These values are empathy, the desire to make the world a better place to live, the ability to put public interests above personal preferences and teamwork.
How do we translate this?
Space and place – environment and home
All aspects of space, place and environment. Not only physical, but also the social, economic and natural environment. Context. Identity. For each project, we create a program of how all characteristic layers mutually interact with each other, locks in, and how each of us – all living organisms – feel there.
Society
Understand what is important and what is important for the place, the environment, the user – for society in long term. Acting with responsibility for future generations. Creating quality spaces to meet. Places where daily contact with nature, rather than technology, improves well-being, work ability, reduces stress, helps the body to achieve balance, to self-organize, to self-inspire and to concentrate internal forces.
Team
The work of a landscape architect in the vision of our workshop is the work of a transdisciplinary team. We invite you not to work in solitude. Therefore, wherever possible, we create a wide team of landscape architects, architects, artists, sociologists, planners, historians, and of course engineers. Every project is teamwork – we believe that it allows us to evaluate better the different aspects and create the best solutions. When we start a project, we talk a lot, and the team and concept is formed during the process. Let’s not deny that it is also more fun to work together. We believe that we can influence the process of the world getting better.
